Win Cards: If you’re not familiar with Win Cards, they’re plastic-coated cards that show you basic strategies or winning payoff amounts for the games of blackjack, craps and roulette. There are many casinos in Nevada, as well as some other locations throughout the country, that sell the cards in special promotional programs that can provide you with some excellent value.

For $10 you get a set of three cards plus $15 in non-negotiable chips that can be used for any even-money bets in the casino. Additionally, you get a coupon that is valid for a $1 tip for the dealer. In essence, you’re getting the cards for free, plus you’re getting an extra $6 in value. It’s a great deal and most casinos will allow you to purchase Win Cards once a month. Participating Las Vegas area casinos include: Aladdin, Circus Circus, Excalibur, Four Queens, Lady Luck, Santa Fe Station, and Sunset Station.

Reno/Lake Tahoe Area: Win Cards are available at: Boomtown, Circus Circus, Flamingo, Harveys, and Rail City. In Laughlin both the Colorado Bell and Edgewater are participants. Win Cards are also available at about a dozen casinos outside Nevada. In Washington State they are available at Clearwater, Legends, Little Creek, and Quinault Beach; in Mississippi at Bally’s (Tunica), Copa (Gulfport), and Isle of Capri (Lula); in New Mexico at the Cities of Gold; in Minnesota at the Shooting Star and in Connecticut at Foxwoods.

Get Up To $100 Cash-back: New slot club members at most Harrahs casinos, including Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Reno and Lake Tahoe, as well as at the Harrahs-owned Rio in Las Vegas are eligible to participate in the Play-Slots-On-Us promotion which reimburses new players for slot-losses (up to $100) incurred during their first half-hour of play. Participants simply sign up for a free Total Gold Card and use it while playing slots or video poker during their initial visit; the amount played is automatically tracked and the net losses (if any) during that first half-hour of play are reimbursed up to $100. A few weeks later, a voucher for that amount is mailed to the player; however, it must be brought back to the casino to be cashed. Locals have thirty days to redeem the voucher but out of town guests, depending on how far away they live, have from six to nine months to redeem it.

Atlantic City: Every Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Ballys Atlantic City is offering slot customers who earn just 1 point on their MVP card an opportunity to participate in free Slingo Slot Tournaments for their share of $5,000 in prizes. The tournaments take place in fifteen minute sessions, with contestants playing for five minutes. The winners’ names are posted by 9:30 p.m. They have thirty days to return in person to claim their prize.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast area seems to have an abundance of free slot tournaments and here’s a rundown on some of the best ones. Imperial Palace: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Play in one or both sessions with $500 in daily prizes and bonus prize of $100 to the top five accumulated weekly scores.
